Ian Stock

Specializing in entrepreneurship and the legal and corporate finance requirements for international market development, Ian Stock’s 22-year career has been highlighted by the coordination of venture financings worth hundreds of millions of dollars and by driving some of the largest deals in US history for international mergers, acquisitions, and technology product sales.

As Special Counsel at Palo Alto’s prestigious Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and in his capacity as Vice President of Administration and Development for The Enterprise Network (TEN), a non-profit business incubator, Ian has helped technology companies introduce new products and services by constructing and facilitating first-customer intellectual property licenses and new product sales. Internationally and domestically, Ian helps start-ups and expanding enterprises understand and develop strategic American partnerships and affect growth-affirming M&A and IP licensing deals.

Ian earned his Bachelor of Arts with Highest Honors in Human Ecology at the University of California (Berkeley) and his Juris Doctorate at the Yale Law School.

T Kim Parnell, PhD, PE

With a background in industrial and academic product development and project management, applied mechanics, mechanical engineering, reliability and failure analysis, Dr. Parnell accelerates the development of high technology devices. He also offers to early-stage and expanding enterprises his expertise in the behavior of biomedical devices, shape-memory metals, bioabsorbable polymers, micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), nanotechnology, and wireless sensors.

A member of the Boards of Directors of NanoBio-Convergence, IEEE-CNSV, and CSIX Connect, Kim also consults as VP of Operations for Blootech and is a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of nWire Technologies. In the academic arena, Kim has served as coach and mentor for the Stanford Biodesign program and as a visiting Associate Professor at Stanford University’s Mechanical Engineering department.

Awarded PhD and MSME degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford and a Bachelors of Engineering Sciences from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Kim is a registered professional engineer in California and has also held positions at Rubicor Medical, Exponent Failure Analysis Associates, SST Systems, Stanford University, and AT&T Bell Laboratories.

Richard Trutz

One of the creative and management forces behind some of the world’s best known brands, Richard Trutz has led corporations and marketing organizations in CEO, COO and CMO positions across a diverse range of consumer and enterprise vertical markets, including retail, financial services, technology (hard- and software), advertising, food service, and consulting.

A brand development expert, Richard has coordinated the world-wide advertising, packaging, pricing, sales promotion, and public relations initiatives for Global 1000 enterprises and SMB technology companies, such as Cisco Systems, Palm, McDonalds, J. Walter Thompson Advertising, Pinnacle Systems, Surgency, Burger King, and Macro Trends. Richard also has extensive experience in successful merger and acquisition negotiations for both technology and consumer-focused companies as well as extensive successful turnaround experience for global franchises.

A graduate of the Master of Business Administration program at the University of California at Davis, Richard is a frequent speaker and lecturer at industry and academic symposia, including the distinguished Cisco / Surgency lecture series at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
